Senior Managing Director
Manish Shah is a Senior Managing Director at Palladius Capital Management, where he focuses on real estate investment origination and management. Mr. Shah also oversees legal matters for the firm.
Previously, Mr. Shah served as a principal and manager of numerous New York City area real estate investments, including control equity, preferred equity, mezzanine and senior debt investments. His prior experience includes the turnaround of a publicly traded company (acquired NYSE: EMR), where he was responsible for business and real estate acquisitions and divestitures. He began his career in the investment banking divisions of Bear Stearns and Morgan Stanley.
Mr. Shah currently serves on the Board of Advisors for Yale’s Jackson Institute for Global Affairs.
Senior Managing Director
Marko Velazquez is a Senior Managing Director at Palladius Capital Management. In this role, Mr. Velazquez focuses on real estate investment origination, underwriting, and management across all business verticals. Mr. Velazquez will also oversee individual investment and fund level analytics.
Previously, Mr. Velazquez was the VP of Business Development & Strategy at Levity Entertainment Group (acquired NASDAQ: AMCX), a high-growth entertainment company with a diverse platform including production, live entertainment, and talent management, where he oversaw corporate as well as specific business unit strategy including acquisitions, development, operations, and dispositions. Prior to joining Levity Entertainment Group, Mr. Velazquez was a Senior Associate at Nimes Real Estate where he managed underwriting, investment analytics, and dispositions on over $550MM of real estate across multiple asset classes including multifamily, student housing, and hospitality. Before that, he worked at SBE, a Los Angeles based owner/operator of world-class hospitality venues as an Associate of Business Development & Finance.
Mr. Velazquez began his career at Citigroup in the Real Estate and Lodging division of the Investment Banking Division.
Head of Asset Management
Jaime Hinojosa is Head of Asset Management at Palladius Capital Management. In this role, Mr. Hinojosa focuses on real estate operations across all asset classes. Mr. Hinojosa is also a critical contributor to deal origination and acquisition underwriting.
Previously, Mr. Hinojosa was Director of Asset Management at Nimes Real Estate, where he directly oversaw all aspects of operations for several thousand units of multifamily and student housing as well support the underwriting team at Nimes. Prior to Nimes Real Estate, Mr. Hinojosa was a Regional Director at Asset Living, where he oversaw operations of several thousand student housing beds, consisting of class A, value-add, and distressed assets for nonprofit, boutique investors and institutional firms across the lower United States.
Director of Investments
Nick Maupin is a Director of Investments at Palladius Capital Management, where he is responsible for real estate investment origination, underwriting and management across the firm’s portfolio. Mr. Maupin focuses on multifamily, student housing, hospitality and select thematic investment strategies.
Previously, Nick served as a Production Manager at Freddie Mac-Multifamily, where he oversaw a 14-member team with more than $16 billion in permanent financing volume throughout the United States. During this time, he underwrote and structured a pipeline of more than 500 loans, specializing in structured pools, lease-up, value-add, built-for-rent, student housing, and conventional multifamily transactions. He also served on a diversity, equity and inclusion advisory board focused on tenant advancement, diverse borrower, diverse workforce and social-impact initiatives.

Wayne Tung is VP, Corporate Controller at Palladius Capital Management. In this role, Mr. Tung focuses on all accounting, finance and internal/external financial reporting functions across all business verticals.
Previously, Mr. Tung was the Director of Finance at Relevant Group, a real estate company with portfolio of multifamily and hospitality assets, where he oversaw the accounting, finance and asset management. Prior to joining Relevant Group, Mr. Tung was Corporate Controller at Barfresh Food Group Inc. (OTCQB: BRFH), where he managed accounting, finance, external audit and SEC reporting/compliance. Before that, he worked at LT Global Investment, Chin Chin Restaurant and LABite.com as Controller.
Mr. Tung began his career at SBE, a company with portfolio of hospitality and office assets.

Meagan Bowden is an Associate in the Investments division at Palladius Capital Management. In this role, Ms Bowden focuses on real estate investment origination, underwriting, and management across the property portfolio. Ms Bowden will also oversee the overall market research and analytics.
Previously, Meagan was a Managing Consultant at The Concord Group, a leading real estate advisory firm, that provides its clients with guidance through all phases of strategic market analysis, acquisition, planning, financing, development, operations, and disposition. Meagan led efforts in growing the company’s Texas presence, overseeing and growing the Austin based consulting team. She was involved in over 60 residential and commercial engagements with developers and investors across the country, with a specific focus on first-tier gateway markets and second-tier emerging metros.
Prior to joining The Concord Group, Meagan worked as a Project Management and Preconstruction Intern for W.E. O’Neil, an award winning and nationally ranked construction company. During her time at W.E. O’Neil, Meagan worked on-site and supported the project team in the delivery of a $46 million ground-up development that had a multi-family, office, and retail component. She also assisted the preconstruction department in estimating, preliminary project scheduling, and site logistic planning.

Kate Patel is an Associate in the Operations division of Palladius Capital Management. In this role, Ms. Patel focuses on the daily management and administration across the office and corporate verticals. Ms. Patel will also oversee specials projects surrounding Public Relations and CRM.
Previously Ms. Patel was the Executive Assistant for the CEO of a highly ranked interior design company based out of San Diego, California. She provided executive administrative support, performed research and data analysis, managed marketing, and business development strategies, oversaw and distributed product, and maintained client relationships. Previously, Ms. Patel founded KE Design Consulting, a boutique organization and interior design service.
Ms. Patel began her career in education, overseeing, formatting, and navigating curriculum for the Houston Independent School District.

Mariana Espinal is an Analyst in Construction Management division at Palladius Capital Management. In this role, Ms Espinal focuses on construction project administration including contract / billing maintenance, cost bidding, and budget management across all property portfolio development and renovation projects. Ms. Espinal will also oversee the overall comparable market research and analytics.
Previously, Ms. Espinal worked as a Land Development Analyst at Kimley-Horn, a premier planning and design consulting firm, where she worked on the preliminary and final development stages of residential and commercial projects. Prior to Kimley-Horn Ms. Espinal has experience with various General Contractors such as Pepper Construction and Procopal S.A. working as a Project Management assistant. Her focus surrounded heavily on construction management with an emphasis on hospital renovation and new residential construction.
